Landing in Vancouver... The chronicles of a Spanish girl in Vancouver

Hello Everybody!

My name's Laura, I'm Spanish, from Zaragoza, exactly, a city in the north east of Spain. I'm glad to be here in Vancouver!

Yesterday I met my host family and they are very nice! After the long trip which took us about one day, I was wishing to meet Laverne and Fred.

My house here is very beautiful, it has a big garden and all the rooms are very big! The best of all is that I can see the mountains from my bedroom!!

Here I'm living with a Japanese girl too. She's called Hitomi and I haven't spoken very much with her yet, but she looks like a good girl.

During this month I'm going to study in Archer College. From my house, I have to take a bus and the sky train, which is a train that takes you directly and quicker than a bus to the place you want to go.

Today is my first day here, and this morning we had a tour around the downtown. The city is beautiful! What I liked best is "Canada Place" which is a square in the city near the harbor and you can see a lot of ships! I like the landscape because you can see mountains and beach together!

If the first day has been so good... the rest of the month will be exciting! And I wish to improve my English too!

Hey hey my dear fiend Lorita!

I've just read your comment and I can see your having a good time!I'm sure you'll have fun there, meetin new people, making new friends and improving your English!
Erm...what do you think about the American food?Is it different than the food you are used to having here in Spain?
I went to our village this weekend. There weren't many people.
I saw Pili, Carmen, Bea, Cris, Josemi,Victor and GEORGE!lol
I also see Adri, Adri's fat friend, Raquel and Belen....
Awww, Bea failed Maths, but shhhhh, it's a secret!lol
So if she finds a teacher in Arcos, she will stay there for the summer months, but...if she doesn't find one, she will go to Madrid. She'll go to Arcos at the weekends though.
Anyway...
DON'T WASTE YOUR DAYS IN CANADA(I think you know what I mean lol) and have a great time there!
